«Σε κάθε εποχή, οι εκάστοτε πολιτισμοί, προσπάθησαν, με οργή κι αγανάκτηση να αποσείσουν τον ζυγό των Ελλήνων, γιατί οι δημιουργίες τους φαίνονται αδέξιες μιμήσεις των ελληνικών δημιουργιών.
Και ξέσπασαν με οργή εναντίον του λαού που τόλμησε να χαρακτηρίσει «βάρβαρο» ότι ήταν ξένο προς αυτούς.
Ποιοι είναι εκείνοι οι άνθρωποι που διεκδικούν πάνω από όλους τους λαούς την μεγαλοφυΐα;
Δυστυχώς δεν είχαμε την τόλμη να ανακαλύψουμε και πάλι το «κώνειο» που θα μας γλύτωνε μια για πάντα από ένα τέτοιο φαινόμενο.
Γιατί ούτε το δηλητήριο, ούτε ο φθόνος, ούτε η αχαλίνωτη συκοφαντία, δεν κατόρθωσαν ν’αγγίξουν την αυθάδη τους Γαλήνη.
Γι’αυτό, μπροστά στους Έλληνες, δοκιμάζουμε ντροπή και δέος. Και κάθε άντρας που τιμά τον εαυτό του, ας διαλαλήσει αυτή την αλήθεια:
Παρόμοιο με τον Ηνίοχο που οδηγεί το άρμα, οι Έλληνες κρατούν στα χέρια τους τα χαλινάρια της Τέχνης μας και κάθε Τέχνης».
